It was my honor and privilege to get to review and officially endorse this book a few months ago, and I have to tell you this book is a breath of fresh air for adoptive parents and those walking alongside us folks. If you are considering ADOPTION, in the process, have already adopted, or just have close ties to someone connected to adoption, you MUST get this book!

Written by a dear friend, Mary Ostyn (popular blogger at Owlhaven), it is THE go-to book for navigating not just the process itself, but the post-adoption REAL work of ministering to, loving on, and raising these treasures.

BONUS! I’m giving away one free copy to one lucky reader! To enter the giveaway, simply comment below telling me your connection to adoption. And for a bonus entry, simply share this blog post on Facebook or Twitter. Be sure to tag me @outofshemind and comment below to let me know! Good luck! {Giveaway ends at exactly 11:59 P.M. Saturday, November 1, 2014.}

    I would love to read this book…always looking for good adoption resources to read and share with others.
    We have 3 biological (Laura, Colson & Cavan) and 2 adopted kiddos (Selah & Lydia). Our daughter Selah passed away from a disease called Pompe when she was still very young, and Lydi is now 5.

    I adopted two sisters from Ethiopia almost 6 years ago. They were 3 and 7 then, 9 and 13 now. Oh what a gift they are!! However, to be honest, I could still use the “post-adoption REAL work of ministering to, loving on, and raising these treasures” advice!!

    My husband and I are weeks away from adopting our first child. We struggled with infertility and miscarriage for years when God dropped this newborn in our laps through foster care. We went from having no children to bringing home a newborn in a matter of 3 days! We have gone through a year long legal battle to get custody of her! God has led us down a rocky path! But his hand has guided us through and Praise His name we are only weeks away from finalizing our adoption. Also, in the middle of this, we had a 12 year old placed in our home. We are in the process of adopting him. That is a whole new ballgame!!!

    I would love to win this book for one oft closest friends. Her and her husband have not been able to have children biologically and are in the process of adopting their first child. I would love to bless them with this book as they continue to wait and pray to meet their child.
